The Art of Making: Venture Snowboards

In the heart of the San Juan Mountains, Klemens Branner of Silverton, Colorado's Venture Snowboards tells the story of how he and his crew turn wood, steel, and other raw materials into snowboards designed for the steepest and deepest runs its customers can find. Branner says pressing a snowboard is "basically like making a sandwich" -- only this sandwich can take a boarder downhill with velocity.
