American Outdoor Products President Soraya Smith discusses her leading freeze-dried food manufacturer and its win at the 2020 Colorado Manufacturing Awards (CMAs) as Outstanding Food Brand/Co-Packer.

With four brands -- including the longstanding Backpacker's Pantry line -- the company is focused on manufacturing a premium freeze-dried products. "Where I think we get our claim to fame is we really are gourmet backpacking food. Our flavors are amazing, we follow food trends, and I think the ingredients we use are mission-driven."
