U.S.—EU Trade Deal Could Help Launch A New Era Of Manufacturing

Last month, German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke of the “payoff” that both sides of the Atlantic would experience from “a big trade zone with few barriers.” She is right, and manufacturers in the United States and European Union know it. We have worked together to establish the largest bilateral commercial relationship in the world with the most highly integrated economy, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive for all countries and economies. The transatlantic trading economy now generates $5 trillion in total commercial sales a year and employs up to 15 million workers.
