Grand Junction company is one of 43 in Colorado to Receive OSHA Safety and Health Achievement Recognition

Grand Junction, CO, September 22, 2017– Reynolds Polymer Technology, Inc. has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor for exemplary commitment to employee safety and health. The company recently received a Certificate of Recognition under the OSHA Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). Reynolds Polymer was recognized after undergoing a comprehensive safety and health onsite consultation survey.

The Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program recognizes small business employers who have used OSHA’s On-site Consultation Program services and operate an exemplary injury and illness prevention program. Acceptance of a worksite into SHARP from OSHA is an achievement of status that singles out a company among business peers as a model for worksite safety and health.

“We are proud to be recognized for our commitment to employee safety and health,” states Matt Johnson, Reynolds Polymer Technology safety manager. “Our safety and health management system, which we instituted in 2014, is proving to be an effective tool in reducing our injury and illness rates.”

According to Johnson, Reynolds Polymer is one of 43 companies in Colorado and 1 of 2 on the Western Slope to be recognized with a SHARP certificate.
