Grocery shortages could turn around by week’s end — if manufacturing employees stay healthy

Grocery store shelves could be fully stocked again by week's end, if employees of product manufacturing companies around the country can stay healthy, according to Midwest distributor Lipari Foods.

In Southeast Michigan, the shortages became apparent late last week, with picture after picture of empty shelves posted on social media. Late Saturday, Kroger announced it would shorten its hours to give it more time to restock its shelves.
