DiMicco book says U.S. needs to accelerate manufacturing resurgence

Feb 25, 2015

Former Nucor Corp. CEO Dan DiMicco writes in the book that it's high time kick up the pace of the U.S. manufacturing renaissance. To do that, America must enforce its trade agreements to clamp down on cheating, invest trillions of dollars on U.S. infrastructure and cut the U.S. corporate tax to bring corporate investment back to these shores.
In the book, titled American Made, DiMicco extolls the virtue of making things in this country. We cannot have a lopsided service-oriented economy that depends on durable goods made overseas, says DiMicco, who remains chairman emeritus at Charlotte-based Nucor.
